I can’t comment much on this subject to be perfectly honest I have never stayed too long in Bhutan. I was always away from home – started going to boarding school since my second grade – which basically meant I was home in Bhutan only for a couple of months (3 months to be exact). Out of that some years I was holed up in Calcutta for tuition – during the winter breaks.
To me Bhutan will always be home – the place of my birth.

The aim of the day - As part of the Day In The Life photography project, bring along your camera and take 1 photo an hour to document your leap day in photos. Since we missed the leap day boat - my brother and I have decided to give this a shot. Watch out for it tomorrow.
In the meantime - here is some artwork on our drive way.

Here’s one from the rehersal _ now I need a good nights rest.

Holy cow! My photography equipment cost more money - I am spending too much on my hobby. In all honesty I don’t mind driving a tiny cute little car. The only reason we spent more money on a van was for safety and driving in crazy suburbia. Before we complain about the lack of amenities see last picture on how an average person commutes daily. Yup, no need for car seats or five point harness — ooh maybe I could start selling cheap car seats in India.

But honestly I am just tired of bitching and whining. So what’s going on in Chhimi land? Nothing much – except I am pretty excited about my photography outlets taking off again. By that I mean that I have two wedding photography gigs coming up in February and one in March. I am also psyched that my boss has approved a training workshop in March for using your Speedlite (aka Flash for camera) it only feels fair especially for the amount of photography I do for the office.
The workshop is done by Neil van Niekerk a wedding photographer based out in New Jersey. He has an extensive tutorials set for doing flash photography.
