Words Erik Can Say
Mommy was reading one of the baby books that was purchased way before Erik even arrived. Anyways, for the last couple of nights, Mommy was reading on how the child brain develops in the 0-5 years old. It's a pretty interesting and very in depth book where it talks about how a child's brain's connectors are developed and behaves independently and then connect with each other as they mature.
Well, in one passage on language development, it mentioned that a child by one-year old, he/she can speak a median of 5 words verbally. Thus Mummy had to some counting, and here's a list of words that Mummy came up with that Erik can say:
Dog - in English
Bye-Bye - in English
Duck - in English
Book - in English
Ball - in English
Mommy - in English or Cantonese - because they sound the same
Daddy - in Chinese
Horse - in Chinese
Grandma (Dad's mom) - in Chinese
Milk - in Chinese
Fork- in Chinese
P.S. Mommy only wishes that Daddy would introduce Hindi volcabularies to Erik!!
