"I'll Get You My Pretty....Muahahahaha"
Halloween 2004 has been a personal blast for me! We hosted our 1st halloween pumpkin-carving party and that was a big HIT. We decorated our house this year for the very first time and it was very fun!! I even dressed up for Halloween this year (after a very very long time) to give trick-or-treaters a "run for their tricking?!".
I dressed up as a scary witch this year using a store-bought Witch Hat from JoAnn's, a little black dress in my closet, a pair of black boots (that I still wear to work), and lots of dark makeup that I usually do not use plus a lot of rose blush to make it more "red" on my cheeks.

The UPS
- The older kids weren't expecting it and had a blast when I answered the door and say "....why...you're just in time for dinner.....Muahahahahh!" of course, the effect kind of wears off when Chhimi is there laughing at me in the background.
- The parents with the kids were enjoying it too...and had to comment on my purple hair and witch hat....so they smiled and thanked me for the free candies for their kiddies.
The Downs
- I "accidentally" scared a little 3 year old when I popped up behind the door and say "....I'll get you my pretty....". I was trying to scare the older kids with the little boy but poor thing. He was scared and just kept starting at me and trembling with his little pail. At least he didn't cry! I felt so bad that I gave him EXTRA candy!
- Not a lot of kids this year! We had about 30 kids max. come by our door. We bought 2 little 44oz bags of candies from Costco and at least a good 1/2 a bag is left! Sigh!
All In All
I had a great time this Halloween. I guess my inner child is finally coming out this year :-)...a little thanks to my hubby, Chhimi. Next year, I think we're ready for a Chhimi family project of rigging our happy home into something a little darker.....a little scarier....and perhaps a little....haunted! Muahahahaha! "I will get them sooner or later!!" Muahahahahah!
Happy Halloween 2004!
