Day 4 - 6

So...as you can see, I don't have a lot to post about my 'single' life right now. I thought I would have a lot more free time since I am husband-free for one whole month. However, as it turns out, my work encompassed all that free time I have. Didn't get a chance to visit the gym (but will make an appointment to go tonight for sure!). Didn't get a chance to go to my girlfriends! My goodness, I don't even get home until past 9:00pm from either work or school. Kinda stinks!

And for my 1st weekend ...I have to work and get ready for my class meeting on Sunday! I think tonight I'm going to hit the movie theater just to kind of relax. I'd really want to go watch Fever Pitch with Drew Barrymore.

Day 3

Bright and Early...I woke up at 4:30am to get ready for work (caught the company air shuttle). Who am I kidding? It wasn't bright at all with daylight savings time. It was just plain early. Arrived at the office around 6:30am and got to working. Work, Work, and more work. Hopped back on the shuttle and then 45 minutes later, drove to campus early.

However, the one thing I did was stop at the campus' hair salon and got myself a little haircut, right before class. :-) Been wanting to visit ever since they set up shop...I asked for a short angled bob with a razor edge for a little more definition...but I came out with a lot shorter than expected hair cut (above the chin, just at the jawline). It works for me though. I love having short hair!! I was so tired of having to blow dry my hair every morning...tomorrow, I get to shower and go. :-) hee hee

So after my daring haircut, off to class I went.

Day 2

Well, nothing really special happen today...went out with some work friends for lunch. Worked. After work, headed straight to the gym and got into the Cycling class. Worked my butt off! Rented a couple of movies from Blockbusters, did some light grocery shopping. Cooked Dinner for myself (found out that I cook way too much...and had enough meals for 3 more days!).

What did I make for dinner?...well, you'd be pleased to know that Tabitha does know how to cook! I made myself some angel hair pasta with mushroom, onions, chicken & artichoke sausage, brocoli marinara cream sauce. Mmmm Mmmm Good...and healthy! Plus, my hubby would be pleased to know that I ate fruit today (1 apple) hee hee!

So...same old stuff but need to hit the sack since I have a LONG day tomorrow for work and school! Sigh!

Chhimi update...he reached Calcutta safe and sound. He even called me with his little cousin's cell phone. So now...we are still connected even though he his thousands and thousands of miles away (half-way around the globe to be exact.).

Day 1 of Bachelorette-hood

The first thing I noticed this early morning was my horoscope, it read a little something like this (courtesy of excite.com)

Are You Kidding Me?! Are these people really psychics? What is the coincidence of having my husband just took off for his month-long journey at home in India & Bhutan?

Day 1
Well, after driving safely back home around 2:00 in the morning, and paying the most expensive Krispy Kreme coffee & donuts (I gave $20 and forgot to wait for the change before I sped off the drive-thru....as you can imagine...I was really THAT tired when I don't count the $$...), I worked on my school work...then caught less than 4 hours of sleep to wake up to a bright & shiny morning and headed for my 2-hour team meeting.

Afterwards, I was starving and called up my closest friends and headed over to their place for hot coffee and pancakes. Played with their 3 adorable kids. They all asked where did Chhimi go (except Ashpoo...cuz, well, she can't really talk yet). Went out with my girlfriend to a furniture store. Then drove back home...and began my 'weekend work', and I even did some laundry and cleaned up part of my home office.

So in summary...Day 1 of being temporary single...pretty boring ;-)
